The Flavor Profiles Behind Our House‑Made Sauces

A Look at the Flavors That Shape Our Menu

Over the past year and a half, you’ve seen our specials evolve, rotate, and sometimes disappear. What you may not see as clearly is the foundation behind all of those specials: the sauces and dressings we make in‑house.

Each one has a specific flavor profile designed to bring out the best in the sandwiches, wraps, and salads it goes on. These sauces aren’t afterthoughts — they’re the backbone of our expanded menu and the reason certain specials became customer favorites.

Dill‑Pickle Ranch

Cool, creamy ranch with a sharp, briny punch from dill‑pickle relish. Tangy, refreshing, and built to cut through rich meats or add brightness to crunchy wraps. It’s the signature flavor in the Deli Crunch Wrap.

Garlic Aioli

Bold, creamy, and lemon‑forward with a clean garlic bite. It adds richness without heaviness and brings a smooth, savory finish to sandwiches like the Pastrami Tsunami.

Honey Mustard

Sweet, tangy, and comforting — a blend of mayo, Dijon, and honey that hits all the right notes. It’s the anchor of the Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap.

Italian Dressing

Herb‑forward, zesty, and bright with white and red wine vinegars, oregano, basil, and garlic. It’s the flavor driver for the Zesty Italiano Wrap, The Italian, and several salads.

Thousand Island

Creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet with relish, Worcestershire, garlic, and onion. It’s the classic finishing touch for the Reuben and the Thousand Island BLT Salad.

Smooth, vibrant, and built to make any sandwich taste better.

Fresh flavor you can count on every single day.

Balsamic Dressing

Rich, tangy, lightly sweet, and emulsified until smooth and clingy. It brings depth and brightness to salads like the Cobb Salad giving it the more robust vinaigrette to balance the richness of bacon, egg, and avocado.

Spicy Mayo

Creamy, punchy, and gently hot — made with pickled jalapeños, banana peppers, cayenne, and paprika. It adds warmth without overpowering and is the signature sauce on both the Spicy Chicken Panini and the Spicy Roast Beef Panini. You’ll also see it in several lunch specials that are staying in the rotation.

Pickle-Radish Sauce

Sharp, tangy, creamy, and bold. The horseradish gives it a clean, sharp heat, while the dill pickle keeps it bright. It’s the signature flavor of the Pickle-Radish Sub.

Grinder Sauce

Creamy, tangy, savory, and loaded with garlic and dill. It’s the defining flavor of The Executive Grinder, giving it that unmistakable grinder profile customers loved from day one.

Garden District Cream Cheese Spread

Light, whipped cream cheese with dill pickle relish and lemon zest. Fresh, creamy, and bright — the heart of The Garden District Sandwich.

Why These Sauces Matter

These sauces are the reason our specials tasted the way they did — and the reason many of those specials earned a place on the expanded menu. They give us the ability to build flavor profiles that are distinct, consistent, and uniquely ours.

As we continue refining the menu, these sauces remain the foundation. They’re what allow us to adapt specials into permanent items without losing the flavor and feel that made them customer favorites in the first place.

Thank You for Helping Shape Our Menu
